South Korea's High Oil Price Damage Subsidies Deadline Looms
The deadline for using high oil price damage subsidies has been set at midnight on August 31st.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced that as of August 18th, 97.3% of the subsidies paid by credit and debit cards had been used.
The remaining amount, totaling around $3.45 trillion won, will automatically be returned to the government if not spent by the deadline.
Citizens who have received the subsidy are advised to check their balance and plan how to use the remaining amount before it expires.
