Southern Energy Reports Q2 Earnings, Expands Operational Program
Southern Energy Corp., an established producer of natural gas and light oil assets in Mississippi, has released its second quarter financial and operating results for 2026. The company reported petroleum and natural gas sales of $4.2 million during the period, a 4% increase from the same period in 2025.
The average production was 10,460 Mcfe/d (1,743 boe/d), a decrease of 7% from the same period in 2025 due to the temporary shut-in of the Mechanicsburg and Greens Creek Fields. The company achieved an average natural gas price premium of $0.25/Mcf above the NYMEX Henry Hub benchmark during Q2 2026.
Southern generated $0.7 million of Adjusted Funds Flow from Operations in Q2 2026, a 15% increase from the same period in 2025. The company reported a net loss of $0.4 million in Q2 2026 compared to a net loss of $0.4 million in Q2 2025.
