Sovecon Slashes Russia's Grain Export Forecast Amid Ongoing Black Sea Disruptions

Grain consultancy Sovecon has cut its forecast for Russia's 2026/27 grain exports to 44.7 million metric tons, down from a previous estimate of 49.4 million tons.

The downgrade follows continued disruptions to exports from Russia's southern ports and a lack of progress toward an agreement that could restore normal navigation in the Black Sea.

Sovecon now expects normal port operations in the Azov-Black Sea region to resume no earlier than 2027, according to a statement from the consultancy.
