Soybeans Slide as Market Digests New Data
Soybean prices declined slightly on Wednesday following the release of key market data. The US Department of Agriculture reported a private export sale of 105,000 MT of soybeans to unknown destinations, which may have initially boosted prices. However, the actual impact was short-lived as traders began to reassess their positions.
The USDA also released its quarterly Grain Stocks data for August, showing 315 mbu of soybeans in storage, down from last year's numbers and below trade estimates. This data point likely contributed to the decline in prices.
Brazilian soybean exports are expected to drop by 0.78 MMT in September according to ANEC estimates, further adding to market uncertainty.
