Star Copper Surges on Assay Hopes
Star Copper's share price surged 8.6% to €0.5320 on Monday, carrying the stock roughly 4.7% above its 50-day moving average of €0.5082.
The advance came as market participants positioned themselves ahead of assay results expected later this month, betting that visual indications of porphyry mineralization at the company's flagship Star project will translate into compelling copper and gold grades.
Seven holes have been completed at the northeastern portion of Star Main, totaling 2,489 meters. The drilling was designed to thicken the data set around the historical S-025 hole, which intersected 269 meters grading 0.42% copper and 0.198 g/t gold.
