Stock Markets Dip Amid Crude Oil Price Surge and Escalating Tensions

Indian stock markets declined in early trade on Tuesday as crude oil prices surged to $91 per barrel, largely due to escalating tensions between Iran and the US.

The Sensex fell by 278.32 points to 77,450.64, while the Nifty dropped 57.65 points to 24,230.45 in morning trade.

According to V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments Ltd, two key developments affected market sentiment: rising Brent crude prices and increased US 10-year bond yields.

'The tailwind for the market is the resilient Indian economy and clear indications of a turnaround in earnings growth,' he added.
