Stocks Climb Amid US-Iran Negotiations Progress
Global stock markets rose on Wednesday as earnings reports and renewed enthusiasm for technology shares boosted Wall Street to record highs.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index gained 0.1% after U.S.-Iran negotiations showed signs of progress, with President Donald Trump saying his administration had 'very good discussions' with Iran.
However, not all tech stocks performed well, as chipmaker AMD fell 7% in premarket trading despite beating analysts' estimates.
The drop in oil prices following reports of Qatar's mediators making progress in efforts to end the U.S.-Iran war also contributed to the market's rise.
