Stormlands Mining has released an independent case study on the Odienné gold project in northwestern Côte d'Ivoire, owned by Awalé Resources. The company used artificial intelligence to create a base economic model using data from Awalé's NI 43-101 technical report from April 2026.

The modelling program generated results that significantly increased the site's net present value (NPV) from $891.8 million at a 5% discount rate to $2.25 billion, a 153% increase.

The updated gold price of $4,877.4 per ounce led to an increase in life-of-mine revenue from $4.38 billion to $6.88 billion, and life-of-mine EBITDA increased from $2.01 billion to $4.32 billion.

Stormlands' chief executive Róisín O'Connell stated that current mining valuation programs are inadequate because of how data is used, not a shortage of data. She emphasized the importance of AI in extracting and structuring data for consistent testing.
