Stronger Dollar Weighs on Copper Prices Amid Ongoing Industrial Demand

Copper prices have fallen due to a stronger US dollar, which has made commodities like copper more expensive for buyers using other currencies.

The London Metal Exchange's three-month copper contract was down 0.66% at $14,651 per metric ton as of 0300 GMT on Wednesday.

This decline is attributed to the rising US dollar, which also affected other industrial metals like aluminium and zinc.

Chinese demand for copper had been boosted by buying ahead of smelter shutdowns during the country's public holidays in September and October.
