Subsidized Fuel Prices in Indonesia Frozen Until Year-End
Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia has assured that the government will not raise the price of subsidized fuel until the end of the year. This comes as a relief to consumers who have been grappling with rising living costs due to increasing fuel prices.
The minister also stated that non-subsidized fuel prices may decrease if world oil prices weaken. He has asked state-owned energy company Pertamina and private enterprises to be prepared to adjust their prices accordingly.
According to Bahlil, the national fuel stock is above its minimum limit, and crude oil and fuel supplies from various countries have been secured until the end of the year.
