Summit LNG Terminal has begun supplying 110 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of regasified liquefied natural gas to Bangladesh's national grid. This increase in supply aims to address ongoing shortages and improve gas availability for industries, power generation, and other consumers.

The terminal is expected to reach its full capacity of around 550 mmcfd by 2am on August 15, according to a press release from Summit LNG. The company has emphasized its commitment to maintaining safe and reliable operations while maximizing gas delivery within the technical capacity of the terminal and national transmission system.

Summit LNG views an adequate and uninterrupted energy supply as essential for Bangladesh's industrial growth, employment, and economic development. To support this goal, the company will continue working closely with Petrobangla and the Government of Bangladesh to ensure the country's energy security.
