SunBridge BioEnergy Commences Ethanol Production in Madhya Pradesh
SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd., part of the SunBridge Group, has launched commercial operations at its ethanol production facility in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The plant, which produces fuel-grade ethanol from grain, has a daily production capacity of 300 kilolitres and a storage capacity of 11,000 kilolitres, spanning an area of 117,560 square metres.
The company is expanding its ethanol production capabilities. With the upcoming activation of a 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, SunBridge BioEnergy's total production capacity is set to reach 700 KLD. This expansion positions the company as a key player in India's transition to renewable fuels.
The Seoni facility employs resource-efficient technologies, including water recovery and reuse systems with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) operations. It also produces co-products like Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and Distillers Corn Oil (DCO), which are used in animal feed, promoting a circular economy approach.
SunBridge BioEnergy uses damaged grains such as maize and broken rice as feedstock, supporting farming communities by creating demand for otherwise underutilised resources. Anuj Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of SunBridge Group, highlighted the facility's role in fostering rural economic development and energy security.
This development aligns with SunBridge Group's broader strategy to build a sustainable bioenergy platform. The company aims to integrate renewable fuels, circular economy practices, and responsible manufacturing to support India's shift towards cleaner energy.
