SunBridge BioEnergy Launches New Ethanol Facility in Madhya Pradesh
SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd, part of the SunBridge Group, has started commercial production at its new ethanol facility in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The grain-based, fuel-grade ethanol plant has a daily production capacity of 300 kiloliters (KLD) and a storage capacity of 11,000 kiloliters. The facility spans approximately 117,560 square meters and is designed to maximize resource efficiency, producing co-products like distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and distillers corn oil (DCO) for poultry and cattle feed.
The company plans to further expand its ethanol portfolio, with an additional 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, set to become operational soon. This will bring the total capacity to 700 KLD. The Seoni plant also incorporates water recovery and reuse systems, supported by zero liquid discharge (ZLD) operations, to promote sustainable utilization of natural resources.
Anuj Agarwal, Founder & Chairman of SunBridge Group, stated that the commencement of ethanol production at the Seoni facility marks a significant milestone in the company's bioenergy journey. He emphasized the focus on building a scalable bioenergy platform that combines energy and resource efficiency, creating value for farmers and rural economies. The facility utilizes damaged food grains, including maize and broken rice, to produce fuel-grade ethanol, supporting farming communities by utilizing grains unsuitable for human consumption.
