SunBridge BioEnergy starts ethanol production at Madhya Pradesh plant
SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd, part of the SunBridge Group, has begun commercial ethanol production at its 300 kilolitres per day (KLD) plant in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The facility, which spans over 117,560 square meters, also features a storage capacity of 11,000 kilolitres. The company plans to further expand its production capacity, aiming to reach a total of 700 KLD once its 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, becomes operational.
The Seoni plant is designed for resource efficiency, producing fuel-grade ethanol from damaged food grains like maize and broken rice. It also generates distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and distillers corn oil (DCO), which are used as animal feed. The facility incorporates a zero liquid discharge system to minimize waste and optimize natural resource use.
Anuj Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of SunBridge Group, highlighted the significance of the Seoni plant as a key step in the company’s bioenergy expansion. He emphasized the platform’s focus on energy efficiency, resource sustainability, and support for farming communities by utilizing grains unsuitable for human consumption.
Agarwal noted the potential for growth in India’s bioenergy sector, stating that the Seoni facility marks the start of a broader initiative to promote sustainable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
