SunBridge BioEnergy starts ethanol production in Madhya Pradesh
SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd., part of the SunBridge Group, has started commercial production at its grain-based ethanol plant in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The facility, designed for fuel-grade ethanol production, has a daily capacity of 300 kiloliters and a storage capacity of 11,000 kiloliters. It spans over 117,560 square meters and also generates co-products like Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and Distillers Corn Oil (DCO), which are used in animal feed. The plant incorporates water recovery and reuse systems to promote efficient resource utilization.
The company plans to expand its ethanol production further, with an additional 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, set to become operational soon. This will bring the total production capacity to 700 KLD. Anuj Agarwal, Founder & Chairman of SunBridge Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to building a scalable bioenergy platform that supports energy efficiency and rural economies. The Seoni facility marks the beginning of this journey, aligning with India’s shift towards sustainable energy and reduced fossil fuel dependence.
SunBridge BioEnergy uses damaged food grains, including maize and broken rice, to produce ethanol. This approach supports farming communities by utilizing grains unsuitable for human consumption. The SunBridge Group, with its diversified businesses in consumer products, bioenergy, and solar energy, provides operational expertise and financial strength to support SunBridge BioEnergy’s growth in clean fuels.
