Syrian Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Softer US Inflation

The selling price of 21-karat gold in Syria remained unchanged at SYP 16,300 ($133.61) per gram on Thursday, according to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management.

This stability is likely due to softer US inflation data released on Wednesday, which reduced the probability of an October Federal Reserve rate increase from 45% to 37%.

In international markets, spot gold was little changed at $4,155.60 an ounce by 0830 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery held steady at $4,185.50.
