Syrian Gold Prices Steady Amid Global Market Volatility

Gold prices in Syria held steady on Thursday, September 10, according to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management. The selling price of 21-karat gold remained at SYP 16,100 per gram, while the buying price was SYP 15,800. For 18-karat gold, the selling price was SYP 13,800 per gram and the buying price SYP 13,500.

The global market saw US gold futures edge lower on Thursday, with December contracts opening at $4,448 per ounce, down 0.3% from Wednesday's close. This comes as investors await US inflation data for further indications on interest rates. The Producer Price Index (PPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) data were due out Thursday and Friday, respectively.
