Syrian Gold Prices Surge 100 Pounds Per Gram

Gold prices have risen in Syria's market as of Sunday, August 16. According to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, 21-karat gold has seen a gain of 100 Syrian pounds per gram compared to the previous day.

The authority reported that the selling price of 21-karat gold is now at 16,100 Syrian pounds per gram, while the buying price stands at 15,800 pounds. For 18-karat gold, the selling price is 13,800 Syrian pounds per gram and the buying price is 13,500 pounds.

It's worth noting that these prices are significantly higher than international markets, where gold was trading at $4,376 an ounce on Sunday.
