Syrian Gold Prices Surge on Local Market

The price of gold in Syria's local market has seen a significant increase. According to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, the cost of one gram of 21-karat gold rose by 50 Syrian pounds compared to Thursday's rate.

As of Saturday, the price of one gram of 21-karat gold stood at 16,600 pounds for sales and 16,300 pounds for purchases. The prices of 18-karat gold were set at 14,200 pounds for sales and 13,900 pounds for purchases.

The international market also saw a notable price point for an ounce of gold, which was recorded at $4,378 USD on the same day.
