Tai Sin Electric Slumps Despite Soaring Revenue
Tai Sin Electric's FY2026 results show a disappointing contrast: revenue jumped 24.2% to S$597.2 million, but profit before tax tumbled 57.1% to S$13.3 million.
The company blames copper costs squeezing existing contracts, which are mainly fixed-price cable orders. This is the main challenge, not a lack of demand.
Copper prices could ease from US$14,400 per tonne to an FY2027 average of US$12,800, allowing partial provision reversals, according to CGS International.
