Tajikistan Expands Logistics for Iranian Oil Imports
Tajikistan is planning to expand its logistics capacity to increase oil imports from Iran. According to Transport Minister Azim Ibrohim, transportation routes and logistics will play a key role in expanding energy cooperation between the two countries.
Ibrohim stated that currently around 800,000 metric tons of petroleum products are transported between Iran and Tajikistan annually. He added that the volume could increase significantly following the launch of a joint working group.
Tajikistan will also hold talks with neighboring countries to develop the infrastructure needed to support higher volumes of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products, Ibrohim said.
