The Ministry of Transport in Dushanbe has published details of agreements reached with Iranian officials, which include accelerating railway transit, providing discounts, and simplifying transportation.

The request comes as Tajikistan struggles with fuel deficits, prompting the government to turn to neighboring Iran for supplies. According to the ministry, 2.55 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products are being sought from Iran.
