A tanker reported being struck by three projectiles while transiting out of the Strait of Hormuz, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The incident occurred 17 nautical miles east of Khasab in Oman. Fortunately, no casualties or environmental damage were reported.

The market reaction was swift, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil prices rising 3.22% on the day to $85.44 at the time of writing.
