Tantita's Pipeline Security Key to Nigeria's Oil Licensing Round Success
Nigeria has successfully concluded its 2025 Licensing Round, attracting strong investor participation and expected to add 500 million barrels to the nation's crude oil reserves within three years.
The exercise saw 143 companies submit 200 bids for 37 of the 50 oil blocks offered during the commercial bid phase. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) expects the successful development of these assets to increase production by about 300,000 barrels per day.
Industry stakeholders emphasize that achieving this objective will require sustained protection of critical oil infrastructure and continued efforts to curb crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has been retained to safeguard oil and gas infrastructure in the Niger Delta, ensuring that Nigeria derives the full economic benefits from its petroleum resources by safeguarding critical infrastructure and preventing losses arising from crude oil theft, illegal refining, and pipeline vandalism.
