TAQA Arabia Breaks Ground on Jordan Gas Pipeline Project

TAQA Arabia has launched a major gas pipeline project in Jordan to improve energy infrastructure and lower industrial costs. The new pipeline, measuring 14 kilometers long, will target reduced energy expenses for industries operating in Al-Rawdah Industrial City.

The project, which forms part of two natural gas supply projects, is supported by approximately USD 70 million in funding from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). This significant investment highlights continued commitment to Jordan's industrial energy infrastructure development.

Construction on the pipeline is expected to take around 18 months. Once operational, it is projected that the project will reduce energy costs for industries in Jordan by between 35% and 50%. Lower energy expenses could improve the cost competitiveness of manufacturers and support greater industrial activity in the region.
