TAQA Arabia Launches $70 Million Jordanian Gas Pipeline Project

TAQA Arabia has entered Jordan's energy market by launching a $70 million natural gas pipeline project for Al-Rawdah Industrial City. The project is part of two industrial-city gas projects backed by funding from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).

The 14-kilometer pipeline will serve El-Rawdah and Muwaqqar industrial cities, with Petrojet and Ahmad Yousef Al-Tarawneh and Partner construction company awarded the Muwaqqar project. The announcement was made in the presence of Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Jordan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources; Pakinam Kafafi, CEO of TAQA Arabia; and ADFD representatives.

'Our entry into the Jordanian market marks another strategic step in TAQA Arabia's regional expansion,' said Kafafi. Tarek El-Hawary, Managing Director of TAQA Gas, added that the company will maintain quality and safety standards during construction and provide a reliable gas supply to manufacturers in the Ma'an Development Area.

This move follows TAQA Arabia's establishment of a branch in Jordan earlier this month, with the company reporting its H1 2026 financial results in early August. TAQA Arabia was established in 2006 and invests in various energy infrastructure projects, including natural gas transmission and distribution, power generation, and oil product marketing.
