Technip Energies Wins Amigo LNG Project Management Role in Mexico
Technip Energies has secured an enhanced project management consultant role on the Amigo LNG project in Mexico. The company will handle overall project management, engineering interface management, construction management, and independent project oversight for the $6 billion liquefied natural gas export terminal in Guaymas, Sonora.
The 20-year sales and purchase agreement between Amigo LNG and Sahara Group includes a provision for exporting up to 7.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG. Gunvor has agreed to purchase 0.85 million tonnes per annum over 20 years, while International Resources will receive 1 million tonnes per annum.
Technip Energies said it is the key technical and integration partner across the project's stakeholders, contractors, and execution entities. The company will oversee both floating process barges: a pre-treatment barge and a liquefaction barge.
