Tennessee Gas Prices Hit $3.92 Amid Crude Oil Surge

Tennessee gas prices have surged to $3.92 per gallon, a 25-cent increase from last month and $1.15 higher than this time last year, according to AAA.

The state's average has climbed by 11 cents over the past week, driven in part by crude oil prices, which reached $100 per barrel for the first time since July due to tensions in the Middle East.

While prices have slowed slightly over the weekend, continued elevated crude prices could push pump prices higher throughout the week, said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman for AAA, The Auto Club Group.
