Tennessee Gas Prices Jump 10 Cents Amid Global Oil Market Uncertainty
Tennessee gas prices have increased by 10 cents over the past week, according to data from the American Automobile Association. The current state average stands at $3.65 per gallon.
Crude oil prices rose higher amid renewed uncertainty in the global oil market, AAA spokeswoman Megan Cooper explained in a release. As a result, drivers can expect additional fluctuations in pump pricing throughout this week.
The national average has also risen to $4.06 per gallon. In terms of regional variations within Tennessee, Jackson and Nashville have the highest prices at $3.76 and $3.71 respectively, while Morristown, Clarksville, and Chattanooga offer the lowest prices at $3.50, $3.51, and $3.54 respectively.
