Tennessee Gas Prices Soar on Crude Oil Surge
Tennessee gas prices have risen by 11 cents on average over the past week to $3.92 per gallon, according to AAA - The Auto Club Group.
The surge in crude oil prices to over $100 per barrel after tensions intensified in the Middle East is largely responsible for the price hike.
Drivers are now seeing gas prices that add up to roughly $17 for a 15-gallon gas tank, which is higher than the previous high of $4.21 reached at the beginning of May.
