Tensions Flare as Iran's Missiles Are Intercepted, But Regional Proxies Pay Price
A surprise attack by Iranian forces on U.S. troops in the Middle East was foiled after CENTCOM reported that all incoming ballistic missiles were intercepted.
The missiles, launched from Iran, targeted a U.S. base in Jordan, according to Axios citing U.S. officials.
In retaliation, U.S. and Saudi forces launched strikes on 'multiple terrorist logistics and weapons sites' in eastern Iraq, killing at least 20 Iraqi fighters and wounding 32 more, reported the Iran-aligned Iraqi Mobilization Forces.
