Tethys Petroleum Reports 70% Q2 Revenue Jump Amid Production Hurdles
Tethys Petroleum Limited reported a significant increase in oil and gas sales for Q2 2026, with revenue reaching $10.4 million, up 70% year-over-year from $6.1 million in Q2 2025.
The company attributed the growth to enhanced oil production and the launch of crude oil refining activities during the quarter, but also noted a net loss of $0.01 million for the period, down from the $1.3 million net profit recorded in Q2 2025.
Tethys Petroleum's operations were impacted by gas turbine failures at its Kul-Bas facility, which limited oil production to an estimated average of 275 tons per day (2,200 bopd) in August, although the company expects this to recover to approximately 645 tons per day (5,160 bopd) by October following repairs and new installations.
