Teucrium Corn Fund Rises 2.5% on Tighter Supply Environment
The Teucrium Corn Fund stock rose by 2.5% in mid-day trading to reach $20.20, driven by a combination of factors affecting corn futures prices.
The recent September USDA World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report cut the 2026/27 yield forecast for corn to 178.5 bushels per acre from 180.7, reducing total production to 15.8 billion bushels and lowering ending stocks to 1.567 billion bushels.
This tighter supply environment has led to an increase in the season-average corn price received by producers by $0.30 to $4.80 per bushel.
The disruptions to global grain flows due to Russian pressure on Ukrainian port infrastructure have also contributed to the rise in corn futures prices, as Ukraine's exports are being rerouted and reduced availability of competing supply is compounded by a revision down in world corn ending stocks to 272.1 million tons.
