Texas drivers are facing another sharp increase in gas prices as crude oil costs continue to rise. According to AAA Texas, gas prices jumped 16 cents this week to $3.71 per gallon for regular unleaded.

The increase is largely due to rising crude oil prices, which have reached $101.90 per barrel for Brent Crude and $93.98 per barrel for WTI Crude. OilPrice.com reports that these high prices are putting pressure on gasoline costs, making it difficult for drivers to budget for upcoming trips.

Patrick De Haan with GasBuddy explained that the situation remains volatile, and motorists should expect prices to fluctuate. He also noted that gas prices tend to decline in the fall, so drivers may see some relief if they can hold on a little longer.
