Thailand's gold prices rose again on September 19, with the Gold Traders Association announcing its first price update at 9:06 a.m. The association reported that gold bars were quoted at 68,900 baht per baht-weight for buying and 69,100 baht for selling.

The prices of 96.5% gold jewelry also increased, with the buying price set at 67,522.64 baht per baht-weight and the selling price at 69,900 baht.

The global Gold Spot price was reported at US$4,379 per ounce on September 19, but it's unclear whether this influenced Thailand's gold prices. The new prices are effective immediately for Thai consumers looking to purchase gold jewelry or bars.
