Third Liebherr R 9150 Delivered to Alberta Quarry

Liebherr-Canada has delivered its third R 9150 excavator to Hammerstone's Muskeg Quarry in Alberta, a key supplier of limestone aggregates for the oil sands industry.

The 150-tonne excavator is designed for high production capacity and reliability, even in harsh winter conditions. It features a 757-hp Liebherr D9512 engine and offers bucket capacities from 8.8 to 9.6 cubic meters.

Hammerstone Vice President Bryan George praised the R 9150's performance, saying 'We've been impressed by the R 9150's high production capacity, excellent digging power and fast cycle times.'

The company has been operating three R 9150s since 2018 and opted to add a third unit due to its reliability and consistency. All three machines are equipped with Liebherr's optional Arctic Kits, which provide fluids rated for extreme cold temperatures.

Liebherr-Canada provides technical support for the machines through its Fort McKay branch, ensuring minimal operational disruptions.
