Thursday Sees Cotton Futures Slip Amid Weak Energy Prices

Cotton futures experienced modest losses on Thursday, down by 41 to 90 points across various contracts.

This decline came as crude oil prices dropped $2.06 per barrel, and the US dollar index fell by $0.054.

Export Sales data showed that 778,939 RB of cotton were carried over from the 2025/26 marketing year in the week of August 6, with 126,050 RB in new sales.

The highest demand came from Vietnam, which purchased 60,800 RB, followed by Pakistan with 13,900 RB.
