The Petroleum Ministry in Nigeria has seen significant progress under President Bola Tinubu's leadership. According to Rehoboth Media Limited, the reforms and investments implemented by Senator Heineken Lokpobiri as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil) have positioned Nigeria as one of the global oil and gas destinations and investment-ready.

Lokpobiri attributed the growth in crude oil production from less than 1 million barrels per day to over 1.8 million barrels per day, inclusive of condensate, to the efforts of all stakeholders led by President Tinubu.

The minister also highlighted the increase in rig counts, with over 70 active rigs currently in operation compared to only 10 when they came into office.
