Titan Defies Gold Price Surge: JPMorgan Sees Robust Demand Ahead
JPMorgan remains optimistic about Titan Company Ltd despite a 13% surge in gold prices this month. The market capitalization of Rs. 4,57,556 Crores makes it one of India's largest companies.
Despite the high price of gold, JPMorgan believes that jewelry demand will remain strong throughout Q2 and Q3, driven by a longer festive season and steady demand for weddings.
Retailers are responding to the higher gold prices by introducing lighter and less carat jewelry, as well as exchange programs that allow customers to upgrade or purchase jewelry without having to worry about gold prices.
JPMorgan predicts that margins will be largely range-bound, supported by steady production fees, promotion, premiumization, operating leverage, and efficiency programs.
