Titas Gas Field to Receive Major Boost from New Wells
The Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL) is set to boost natural gas production at the Titas gas field in Brahmanbaria by drilling three new wells.
According to BGFCL, the company will add at least 45 million cubic feet of gas daily to the national grid within the next six months from these wells.
The drilling project for well 31 has already begun on April 19 and is expected to reach a depth of 5,600 meters. This well is also the country's first and deepest exploratory gas well, with an expected production of at least 15 million cubic feet of gas daily.
