TNR Gold Nears First Royalty Payment as Mariana Lithium Production Begins
TNR Gold Corp (TSX-V:TNR, FRA:TNW, OTC:TRRXF) is nearing its first royalty payment from the Mariana lithium project in Argentina. The company's executive chairman, Kirill Klip, discussed recent milestones with Proactive. One significant development was the increased investment by Altius Minerals, which now holds 30,935,000 shares of TNR Gold.
Klip described the move as validation of the company's royalty-focused strategy and its portfolio of energy metals and gold assets. At Mariana Lithium, Ganfeng Lithium has begun production and exported its first lithium chloride. Klip said this milestone is crucial for TNR Gold, as it will transition the company from a project generation royalty company to one with cash flow.
TNR Gold also discussed the outlook for the Los Azules copper project, noting improving economics due to strengthened copper prices. Progress towards a final investment decision and construction timeline was reported, along with interest from Rio Tinto in increasing its exposure.
