TotalEnergies' $12.2B Suriname Project Sees Progress Towards 2028 Oil Production
TotalEnergies' representatives and Surinamese authorities met to review the progress of the GranMorgu project, a deepwater oil development worth billions in Block 58 offshore Suriname. The initiative is on track for its initial crude output in 2028.
Patrick Pouyanne, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, visited Suriname with Nicolas Terraz, President of Exploration & Production, and Javier Rielo, Senior Vice President of Exploration & Production Americas. They met with President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons and Staatsolie Managing Director Annand Jagesar.
Jagesar stated that TotalEnergies' professionalism and know-how are allowing the project to stay on schedule and within budget. The revenues anticipated from this project will help Suriname enhance its economic resilience and improve living standards for its citizens.
