TotalEnergies and AMNI Sanction Ima Gas Field in Nigeria for 2028 Production
TotalEnergies and its partner AMNI have made a final investment decision to develop the Ima gas field in Nigeria.
The Ima field is located near Bonny Island, offshore from Nigeria, and will be developed using a single platform linked to Nigeria LNG by a 22 km pipeline.
Production is expected to begin in 2028, reaching a plateau of 10 million cubic meters per day, which is equivalent to more than 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The development is described as low-cost and low-emissions, with a simplified platform design, electric power supplied from shore, no flaring, and permanent methane detection and monitoring.
