Trekor Metals Crushes Q2 Expectations with Record Copper Production
Trekor Metals Limited reported strong second-quarter results in 2026, driven by record copper prices and steady production at its Gibraltar mine. The company's consolidated Q2 production reached 36 million pounds of copper, up 80% from the same period in 2025.
The Gibraltar mine produced 30 million pounds of copper and sold 32 million pounds, also producing 559,000 pounds of molybdenum at a realized price approaching US$30 per pound. This helped offset cost pressures associated with higher diesel prices, resulting in a credit of US$0.65 per pound of copper.
Florence Copper contributed 5.2 million pounds of copper production during its first full quarter of plant operations. Wellfield expansion is ongoing, with additional wells being commissioned over the balance of the year, as the company works toward its planned production ramp-up.
