Trekor Metals Sees Strong Demand Amid Tight Copper Market
Trekor Metals is benefiting from a strong copper market while working through the early stages of a major production ramp at its Florence Copper mine. At the Lytham Partners Fall 2026 Investor Conference, management highlighted robust cash generation at the company's mature Gibraltar mine and improving output at Florence Copper.
Florence Copper is moving through a ramp-up phase and is expected to become a lower-cost, high-margin asset as production rises in 2027. The Arizona mine began producing copper cathodes in February 2026 after a long permitting process and a construction phase that started in 2025.
Trekor's operations are centered on two North American copper assets: Gibraltar in British Columbia and Florence in Arizona. Management said the company is the only copper producer focused solely on North America, a point it framed as a geopolitical advantage compared with peers that also operate in South America or Africa.
