Trekor Metals Sees Strong Q2 Earnings as Copper Market Remains Tight
Trekor Metals is benefiting from a strong copper market while working through the early stages of its major production ramp. At the Lytham Partners Fall 2026 Investor Conference, the company highlighted robust cash generation at its mature Gibraltar mine and improving output at Florence Copper.
Florence Copper is expected to become a lower-cost, high-margin asset as production rises in 2027. Gibraltar remains a steady cash generator, with 19 years of mine life left and production guidance of 110 million to 115 million pounds for 2026.
Trekor sees a long-term copper shortage driven by electrification, urban growth, data centers, and AI infrastructure. The company is also exploring several longer-term projects, including the Yellowhead copper project in British Columbia, which could add production or optionality over time.
