Trump Defends Higher Oil Prices as Necessary Sacrifice for Nuclear-Free Iran
US President Donald Trump has defended higher oil prices, stating that they are a necessary sacrifice to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
In a press conference at the White House, Trump claimed that most people would choose lower gas prices over allowing Iran to possess a nuclear arsenal, saying 'I'd be willing to vote that it'd be a massive landslide, people don't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon.'
Trump also asserted that the US is winning the war with Iran 'very handily' and that petrol prices would drop back down once the conflict ends.
