President Donald Trump announced on Monday that talks with Iran are ongoing, giving the country's leadership one last chance to reach an agreement before 'decapitation'.

Trump stated this while speaking at the Oval Office, saying he wants to give them a final opportunity to come to their senses and make a deal.

The news sent shockwaves through the markets, with oil prices plummeting and stocks soaring. Brent crude fell 4.77% to $83.74 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate dropped over 5% to $80.15 a barrel.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a new record close, gaining 1.32%, while the S&P 500 climbed 1.48%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite outperformed, soaring 2.13%.

Tech companies led the session, with Meta and Amazon leading the charge. Meta gained almost 6%, hitting a new high, and Amazon rose over 4%, pushing its market capitalization to $3 trillion.
