Trump Meeting Sparks Silver Price Breakout Hopes as US Seeks Critical Minerals
President Donald Trump is set to meet mining executives in an effort to rebuild America's critical minerals supply chain and reduce dependence on China. Silver has been added to the United States Critical Minerals List, and government support for domestic production or strategic stockpiles could affect future silver demand.
Technical analyst Klejdi Cuni believes a breakout from a falling wedge pattern indicates that buyers have regained control of the market. A confirmed breakout suggests that silver price will move above its recent consolidation area and reach resistance targets near $60.60 and $62.80.
However, analyst Ian Cooper remains more cautious about the silver price outlook. He wants to see silver price reclaim $64.65 before adopting a bullish view. This would show greater strength and place the metal above its recent consolidation area.
