Trump Predicts End to Iran War After Midterms

US President Donald Trump has predicted that the war with Iran will end immediately after the November midterm elections. Speaking in Dallas, he stated, 'I think war is going to end immediately after the election because they can't hold out any longer. They're desperate to try and affect the election.'

The conflict between the US and Iran has been ongoing for six months, with both sides launching tit-for-tat strikes that have disrupted supply routes through the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.

The Houthis, backed by Iran, are closing in on key positions near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a major route for global oil supplies. Brent crude prices have risen above $100 per barrel as a result of the ongoing hostilities.
